Garden and Dining Deck

We are excited to invite you to our first "Wine Down Sunday" on the Garden and Dining Deck. This Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. all wines purchased by the bottle as well as small plates will be half off. This is on the deck only. We will be able to enjoy the wonderful late summer weather.

Join us May 8th for an evening with Martin Swinter. Martin performed here several years ago and we are very pleased to have him back. To hear Martin you can go to youtube and enter his name.

Woody Woodman will be back and Jimmy Barns will also join us this summer. Have another large event in the works. Should be a great season.

"Five Seasons Gifts" will re-open in May with great furniture and antiques as well as the everlastings and herbs. We have already started seedlings in the greenhouse.

New newsletter should be up soon, working on new brochures for the restaurant, gift shop as well as Christmas wreaths. Getting an early start on wreaths as have picked up a a good size customer. Will tell you more about this later. Hay, we just got over Christmas. Too early now.

This Sundy starting at 4:00 p.m. we will have Dola & Company as well as two other entertainers. There will be a cover charge of $5.00 at the door. Food will be from the regular menu.

Monday we will have a new dinner menu. This new menu will have a dozen or more pasta items with salad and garlic toast. Several other items will be added. The lunch menu will the the regular menu.

Harvest Dinner

Summer Garden

Deer have really had a good time in the main garden. Cleaned out the tomatoes, most of the beans and now on the Swiss Chard. They donot touch the dill or the mints. The large garden was a total loss because of all the rain. Worked two days getting in seed and all lost.

This Saturday Woody Woodman plays for our enjoyment. Special menu will be offered.

Dinning room will be open starting at 4:00 p.m. and Woody will play from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

"FIVE SEASONS SHOP" will be open soon. Keep posted as we will offer birding supplys and seed, Christmas items as well a Maine made gifts.

Fiddleheads and Fish Fry

Every Friday as we have in the past three years we offer a all you can eat fish fry. Most times we have the salad bar up and the fish fry (haddock) includes the salad bar. Again this spring we offer Maine fiddleheads along with the fish fry. If you have never tasted fiddleheads than now is the time to try them. A friend right from this area supplys us with our fiddleheads we use.

We are also at this time cutting lettuce and pulling radish from one of our gardens. We produce much of our own organic produce as well as smok our own fish for Finnin Haddie which we serve at the Sunday Breakfast Buffet. Finnin Haddie is an old Scottish dish which was named after Finnin in Scotland.

Ice Cream

This spring we changed who we get our ice cream from to Sugar Maple Creamery. They supply a premium 14% butterfat ice cream made with hormone-free Maine milk and cream.
We were not happy they way another creamery was using Maine dairys.
"Acadia Chocolate" and "Aurora Borealis" are just two of the new ice creams. One customer said that the "Down East Strawberry" was the best that she had had for a long time.

Aloha,

Join us on May 2 for "Hawaiian Night" with Dola & Company. We will be serving several tropical drinks from the bar. Be sure to wear your Hawaiian shirt or Muumuu. Bar will be open from 4 p.m. and dinning room open from 5 p.m. with entertainment starting at 7 p.m.

Run for the Roses

We will be serving speccial treats for those watching the race on the large screen TV in the lounge. We have lots of fresh mint for those Mint Juleps.

Spring in Maine

Ice is out of the farm pond and both ducks and geese are having a great time. Have had several lambs born this spring. Life is good here on the farm.
